Mathijs, CEO

Mathijs founded Moteefe in 2015, after finishing his MBA at INSEAD, in Business Management in 2014. Before embarking in this adventure with Lev and Olivier, the other two co-founders of Moteefe, Mathijs work at Booz & Company, from 2011 to 2013 in his home country – the Netherlands.

“I love working at Moteefe and it’s only because of all of the people around me, whether they’re in the UK, Portugal, Russia, Brazil, or Italy, it doesn’t really matter we all share the same dream. Which is to continue growing the company, working with entrepreneurs around the world and to me that is really exciting. We all have the same vision, we all have that shared DNA of being excited working towards the same goal and to me that’s the most inspiring thing to see and the most exciting thing to work within Moteefe.

Olivier, Interim Head of Supply Chain

“Moteefe started as really an idea to help people make money online. That was the key focus for us. And looking at different ideas of how we could achieve that, we decided to focus on customized merchandise.” From 2010 to 2013 Olivier worked as Corporate Finance Advisor for Ondra Partners, but his entrepreneurial spirit was always present, and it appear first when he became Non-Executive Director at Volpit an equity crowdfunding platform between 2013 to 2015. At the same time, he studied at INSEAD in 2014, where he met the other Moteefe cofounders. “I think there has never been such an exciting time to join Moteefe, and this is really for two reasons. The first one is Moteefe is just at the start of everything we want to achieve. So, if you want to be part of that fastgrowth, high-energy sort of start-up environment then this is a unique place to do it (…). The second point is just having the opportunity to join an amazing team of people.”

Abbas, People Director

Abbas joined Moteefe in August 2020, having previously worked at Castle Trust as HR Director. In a career working across technology, finance, retail and consulting organisations, Abbas has delivered a series of major people projects at board and executive level. He graduated in 2007 from Loughborough University, with a degree in Business and Information Technology

James, CTO

James brings more than 20 years of experience to the position, which will see him take on responsibility for Moteefe’s overall Technology Strategy, a role that encompasses delivery, architecture, product engineering, infrastructure and operations. With experience gained from managing multi-national teams in senior technology management positions across Logistics, Retail, Online and Digital transformation at brands such as Carphone Warehouse, CoOp, DHL and Best Buy, James comes perfectly equipped to oversee the launch of new products and to expertly steer the company through times of transition and acquisition
